This page is dedicated to photos from days gone by to more recent taken in black and white or colour.
They will at some time have visited Johnshaven, lived and/or holidayed at Anchor lane.
These two photos are of the Simpson siblings who are to my generation my granny Margaret Simpson, with the others being my great uncle and aunts.

Sea Shells On The Sea Shore
This is a picture taken in July 2016 of my three grandchildren Abby Dear age 9, Jessica Shearer aged 5 and Olivia Shearer aged 2 from Portlethen and Findon Aberdeenshire.
They had collected shells from the beach that day where they washed, cleaned and decorated them with paints and offered them for sale to whoever passed by.
The old stool from Anchor lane was used as a sales counter and the hole in the middle was used to drop the money through into the cup you just see below.
They made enough to buy an ice cream each.

This section has old photos sent by Betty Early (nee McKnight) whose mum Jean, was a cousin of the Waiters and the daughter of my great Auntie Bert Marr who lived in Dysart Kirkcaldy.
Jean Married Dave McKnight who worked as a miner and they are in some of the photos.
Dave and Jean had three children David, Betty and Roberta who has sadly passed away.
I ask you out there if you can help me name those in the pictures to confirm what we know and some we don't.
It is a good historical record of family, with some taken around the house or village.
If you know anyone email me Martin Dear at anchorlane4@gmail.com
